Course description

When more than one institution is involved in processing a HMDA reportable application for loans and lines of credit, questions can arise as to which institution will report for HMDA, and what is reported.  The answer can vary depending upon how many institutions reviewed the application and made a decision, in what capacity that decision was made, and which institution originated the loan or line of credit.

These questions arise at various times:

  • when an institution is starting out or needs a refresher in reporting secondary market loans;
  • when a separate institution is contracted to process applications;
  • as one-off transactions arise;
  • when new staff is hired and need to develop a good understanding of the process.

In this one-hour webinar, we will break down the rules governing HMDA reporting in these multi-institution situations. We will discuss the implications of delegated credit authority with an investor and non-delegated credit authority.

Viewers will come away with a solid understanding of the rules for reporting and know how to apply those rules as situations arise.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Compliance officers and staff, HMDA reviewers, auditors, quality assurance staff, lending management, and any other staff members who need to be conversant in HMDA reporting rules.
