Course description

Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts and Practices is a daunting topic for even the most experienced compliance professional. UDAAP has the potential to rear its ugly head with any product, service, employee or department. Each bank must develop a risk-based approach to managing and identifying UDAAP risk. This informative session will help bankers identify UDAAP risk using their existing Compliance Management Systems and develop a UDAAP monitoring process.

Because some of the best lessons can be learned by considering the missteps of others, we will review recent UDAAP enforcement actions and discuss the possible root causes and the processes to consider to prevent similar occurrences. Regulatory agencies, in particular the FDIC, have increased their focus on consumer harm. We will Identify key trends and hot topics on their UDAAP agenda.

  • UDAAP risk assessments
  • UDAAP enforcement
  • FDIC Assessment of Risk of Consumer Harm (ARCH)
